My research paper discusses the topic of international adoption. I argued that international adoption is a positive movement. My arguments stated that children get a family, children get opportunities, parents get opportunities, and America receives culture. The counterarguments stated that children lose their birth home, children lose their birth culture, United States orphans lose their opportunities and children face discriminatory action. I discussed many proven facts that show international adoption to have more of a positive effect on the children, the parents, and the country, than a negative effect. Finally, my paper explains why international adoption should be supported.
